Who voiced the ATL Jacob tag — and where did it come from?
Because the doubled name-check leads so many Future records, almost everyone assumes Future voiced it. He didn't — ATL Jacob has said the tag was improvised in a studio session by Young Scooter, the Atlanta rapper he came up producing for.
Jacob revealed the origin publicly in March 2025 after Scooter's death, turning the tag into a permanent tribute: every “ATL Jacob, ATL Jacob!” that opens a record is Scooter's voice.
The tag's ubiquity peaked through 2021–2022 — “Super Gremlin”, then the #1 “Wait for U” — making it the defining producer drop of Future's late era.
What songs use the ATL Jacob tag?

How to make a tag like ATL Jacob's (without copying it)
You can't use “ATL Jacob, ATL Jacob!” on your own beats: it is ATL Jacob's signature, and putting another producer's name or their original tag audio on your work misleads the artists and listeners who hear it. What you can borrow is the structure. Here is how this one is built.
- It is 4 words long, short enough to land before the first downbeat.
- The producer's name is inside the line, so the tag doubles as a credit. That is the one part you should always copy: put your own name in yours.
- It is voiced by Young Scooter, not by ATL Jacob. Most famous tags work like this: a friend, an artist or a clip said the line once and the producer kept it. If you have a collaborator with a distinctive voice, ask them; otherwise pick an AI voice pad that matches the energy.
- For Trap beats, the TRAP preset (pitched down two semitones, reverb, stutter) is the closest starting point.
Write your own line with your name in it, then open the producer tag generator, pick a voice or record yourself, and start from the TRAP style preset. For more phrase starters see 50 producer tag ideas.
