HARRY FRAUD PRODUCER TAG
“La música de Harry Fraud”
Who voiced the Harry Fraud tag — and where did it come from?
The voice is Fanesha Fabre, a Dominican-born Brooklyn singer and one of the first people Fraud worked with in New York. The drop was improvised: one night at his DUMBO studio she was joking around in the booth, giving a Spanish-language “Harry Fraud music lesson”, and Fraud kept the closing line.
French Montana's “Shot Caller” (2011) carried it out of Brooklyn, and the Spanish phrase became a genre password — luxury sample rap announced in a language most of its audience didn't speak, which only made it stick harder.
Fraud leaned all the way in: the tag became his brand name, his social handles, and the front door to a catalog spanning Curren$y's Cigarette Boats and Action Bronson's Saaab Stories.
