HOW THIS ENCYCLOPEDIA IS RESEARCHED
AI Producer Tag is an independent reference site about producer tags — the two-second audio signatures that brand beats — plus a free, browser-based tag maker and audio toolkit. It is built and maintained as a solo project.
The encyclopedia exists because tag attributions are one of rap's most misquoted subjects: Metro Boomin's tag is routinely credited to Future (it's Young Thug), Murda Beatz's to Quavo (it's Baka Not Nice), ATL Jacob's to Future (it's Young Scooter). Every page here exists to settle exactly one of those questions, with sources.
The sourcing rules
- PRIMARY SOURCES FIRST
- Every "voiced by" claim traces to a first-person interview, the producer's own statement, or two independent publications. Single-source claims are labeled as such in the text.
- UNCERTAINTY IS STATED
- When sources conflict (Southside's tag) or nobody has documented the voice (Cardo, D.A.), the page says "disputed" or "undocumented" instead of picking a side.
- UNVERIFIED = NOINDEX
- Entries that fail the sourcing bar stay live for readers but carry noindex and are excluded from the sitemap until the facts are confirmed.
- NO TAG AUDIO HOSTED
- We never host or re-create celebrity tag audio. Every entry links to the official recordings on YouTube or Spotify instead.
- CORRECTIONS WELCOME
- Spot an error? The whole site is open source — open an issue on GitHub and we'll re-check the sources.
