Who says the Hitmaka producer tag?
Himself (by his own account). As he tells it, the tag was an accident: in a 2014 Miami session he blurted “Hitmaka” at the top of a take, liked how it hit, and adopted it — first as a drop, then as his whole identity, retiring the Yung Berg rap name.
What does Hitmaka's tag say?
The tag is “Hitmaka!”. You can hear it on “Bounce Back” by Big Sean (2016).

Who voiced the Hitmaka tag — and where did it come from?

As he tells it, the tag was an accident: in a 2014 Miami session he blurted “Hitmaka” at the top of a take, liked how it hit, and adopted it — first as a drop, then as his whole identity, retiring the Yung Berg rap name.

It's the cleanest case of a tag *becoming* the artist: the producer named himself after his own drop, then rode it into an executive career running urban A&R at Atlantic.

The tag marks a lane, not just a maker — late-2010s melodic R&B-rap, from Big Sean's “Bounce Back” to A Boogie's “Look Back at It”.
